Victor Mellinger
Associate Vice Chancellor, Deputy General Counsel & Executive Director for Litigation
Victor Mellinger has been with the Office of General Counsel since 1994 and currently serves as Associate Vice Chancellor, Deputy General Counsel & Executive Director for Litigation.
He has a number of areas of responsibility for all components of the Texas Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà System, including litigation support, faculty and staff personnel matters, student affairs, athletic contracts and compliance matters, university policy review, revision, and interpretation, and contract review.
Mellinger is a 1985 graduate of Texas Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà with bachelor’s degrees in music and advertising, and is a 1989 graduate of the Texas Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà School of Law.
Mellinger has spoken at many statewide higher education conferences on a number of topics and has served as President of the Texas Association of State University Attorneys (TASUA) on two separate occasions.
