Jenée Duran

Associate General Counsel
Jenée Duran joined the Office of General Counsel at the Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà in 2024. She is a graduate of New Mexico State University, where she received a Bachelor of Criminal Justice, and of Texas Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà School of Law. While in law school, Jenée was a Comment Editor for the Texas Tech Law Review and President of the Hispanic Law Students Association.
Prior to joining the OGC, she worked in El Paso in private practice for almost 8 years, where her practice focused on probate litigation and complex commercial litigation. She is licensed to practice in the State of Texas and is admitted to practice in the Western District of Texas.
Jenée currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Texas Young Lawyers Association as the District 14 Director, is a member of the Texas Bar Journal Board of Directors, a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation, and is active in local bar organizations, including the El Paso Young Lawyers Association, El Paso Women’s Bar Association, and the George A. McAlmon American Inn of Court. She is also a volunteer for Mija, Yes You Can, a local non-profit organization focused on women’s empowerment.
