James R. Henderson
Assistant General Counsel
James R. Henderson is an Assistant General Counsel in the Office of the General Counsel for the Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ. Henderson supports the Texas Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà Health Sciences Center and other components of the Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà System in a variety of legal areas, including employment matters, student and personnel issues, open records and contracts.
Henderson graduated from Baylor University in 2013 with a degree in English. He then taught seventh-grade English in Sherman, Texas, prior to entering law school at the Texas Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà School of Law. While in law school, Henderson was a member of the Texas Tech Law Review and held an externship with the Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà System Office of General Counsel. After graduating from law school, Henderson was in private practice in Lubbock, focusing on K-12 school law and municipal law.
