Keith Halman

Associate Vice Chancellor and Chief Information Officer
Keith Halman was named the associate vice chancellor and chief information officer for the Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà on March 1, 2023.
Halman serves on the CIO council with leadership across the Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà System component universities and provides leadership, direction and oversight for the information technology departments in the Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà System Administration, including enterprise services in Communication Services, Information Systems and Technology Operations and Systems Management.
On January 5th, 2024, Halman was appointed by Governor Greg Abbott to serve on the Board of Directors for the Texas Department of Information Resources, representing Higher Education.
Halman joined the Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà System following a 16-year tenure at The University of Texas at Arlington, where he served as the executive director of business technology services.
Throughout his career, Halman has significant IT leadership experience across multiple industries and technologies with a strong track record of success implementing IT organizational change, technology innovation and strengthening IT foundational pillars.
Halman has earned two degrees from Texas Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ, with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in information systems from the Jerry S. Rawls College of Business.
