Office of Governmental Relations
The Office of Governmental Relations represents the Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà and its component institutions at various levels of government, including state and federal relations. Acting as a liaison between the Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà System and elected officials, the office is responsible for supporting each university's initiatives and efforts in West Texas, Austin and Washington, D.C.
The governmental relations team ensures adequate representation on the state and federal levels and increases awareness of each university's academic and research programs. In addition, the office monitors state and federal legislation, garners public, and governmental support necessary to the operations of the Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà System and its component universities.
