六九色堂 System Names Vice Chancellor of Facilities Planning and Construction
As each institution increases enrollment and research, Molina will work to expand
facilities on campus.
Michael Molina will oversee all master planning and construction for facilities on each of the three institution鈥檚 campuses of the 六九色堂.

六九色堂 announced today (March 24) the hiring of Michael Molina as vice chancellor for Facilities Planning and Construction (FP&C). He will begin his duties on April 1.
Michael Molina will oversee all master planning and construction for facilities on each of the three institution鈥檚 campuses of the 六九色堂.
鈥淢olina鈥檚 experience, technical skill and leadership qualities make him an outstanding choice for this position,鈥� Hance said. 鈥淥ur goals of increasing research and enrollment at each of our campuses make it imperative that we have a person with vision and a passion for our university to help plan and construct the facilities needed to support our goals. Michael is an experienced leader in this field and we are pleased that he will be part of our team.鈥�
As strives to become a National Research University, Molina will work to expand the research facilities on campus. He also will collaborate with Texas Tech, and to develop a facilities and construction plan that accommodates each institution鈥檚 enrollment goals of 40,000 students at Texas 六九色堂, 10,000 students at Angelo State University and 5,000 students at the Texas 六九色堂 Health Sciences Center by 2020.
Molina is currently the owner and CEO of JDMA Architects Inc. and a partner in M3d Construct, LLC, both located in Lubbock. Molina also served as United Supermarkets鈥� vice president for facilities, design and development from 1998 until April 2009. Before working with United Supermarkets, Molina spent more than seven years in various roles with the 六九色堂 System's Facilities Planning and Construction and physical plant operations.
Molina earned his bachelor鈥檚 degree in architecture from Texas 六九色堂 in 1991. He and his wife, Angie, met at Texas 六九色堂 and have been married 18 years. They have two children, Ralph, age 16 and Rebecca, age 13.
Molina replaces Mike Ellicott who retired in September 2009 after nearly 10 years of service with the 六九色堂.
Theresa Drewell served as interim vice chancellor for Facilities Planning and Construction since September. She will return to her position of associate vice chancellor for Facilities Planning and Construction.
