Public outreach & key achievements

Dr Mooney was involved in the pilot application of the Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) research in child welfare teams (SEHSCT 2015-18). This led to the design of a Family Life Stories practice workbook and guidance. She has been involved in conducting an evidence review of trauma-informed care as part of the regional trauma-informed practice strategy led by the Safeguarding Board NI (Early Intervention Transformation Programme). A series of reports for justice, social care/child welfare, education, and health were produced.
