Dr Lloyd’s research is focused mainly on quantitative survey work with children and young people. She developed, and runs, an annual survey of children in their final year of primary school. She is currently involved in the development of surveys for research projects on the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people and attitudes towards sport among children and young people in Northern Ireland. She is also working on a project in conjunction with colleagues in the Centre for Children’s Rights at Queen’s to develop an online survey for children in Ukraine or who have been displaced to other countries due to the war. Her substantive area of interest is in children’s wellbeing. The main objective of all her research is to give children a voice on issues that affect their lives.
