Dr Agnieszka Graham

School Of Psychology

I am interested in how executive functions develop, how they underpin school readiness, and how their development can be best supported. My research has a strong translational perspective that uses core principles of developmental and cognitive psychology to understand classroom learning and equip practitioners with research-based insights.

Research Interests

I am particularly interested in supervising PhD projects that apply core principles of developmental and cognitive psychology to better understand classroom learning and provide practitioners with research-based insights.

Potential research areas include, but are not limited to:

  • The nature of mind wandering in children and adolescents
  • Following instructions in applied settings
  • Children's understanding of attentional states
  • Children's comprehension of emotion words, and episodic future thinking

I am also open to exploring any aspect of children's cognition with direct application in classroom settings. Additionally, I have a strong interest in research co-created with teachers and educational psychologists, aiming to bridge the gap between theory and practice.
