School of Pharmacy

Dr Kelly’s research focuses on the investigation of various microbiomes and their impact on human health. This includes various human-associated microbiomes, such as the gut, urinary tract, and skin microbiomes, as well as clinical environments, such as hospital wards. Dr Kelly’s research group is particular interested in the microbiome in the context of infection, antimicrobial resistance, and its interrelationships with prescribed medicines.

Research Interests

Open to PhD applications in the field of microbiome science and its impact on human health. This includes the influence of microbiomes in different disease states, on various medications, and in the context of infection and AMR.
