Professor Anna Bryson

School of Law

My research has developed at the intersection of socio-legal studies, transitional justice and oral history. In recent years I have worked on a number of local and international research projects relating to the role of lawyers as transitional actors, dealing with the past in Northern Ireland, the role of apologies in mitigating past harms, and the impact of Brexit on the peace process in Northern Ireland. I have a particular interest in the contribution of oral history to transitional justice approaches to dealing with a conflicted past.
