Welcome to this brand-new event. This is a fun game to learn all about Research Data Management.
It is based on an escape room style of game. If you like puzzles and escape rooms, this event is for you!
Research Data Management (RDM) refers to a set of practices to ensure responsible handling of data in research. It is important before, during, and after your research.
Part of good RDM is writing a Data Management Plan (DMP) to record decisions about how you are going to manage your data.
In this class you will learn about persistent identifiers, Data Management Plans, DOIs and good naming file naming convention for your research.
Places are limited for this event, so book as early as possible.
This promises to be an exciting, fun and sociable event, designed to bring out the competitor in you and generate much discussion.
It is designed for all PGRs.
You will need to bring your own laptop to take part.
This class will be delivered by the Research Data Librarian, Dr. Michael O’Connor
